Claiming a referral on CabRank Central

If you arrived here from a claim confirmation popup: by claiming a referral you agree to contact the prospective client promptly and professionally and to assess whether you can act, and your handling of the referral is governed by the CabRank Network Rules linked above, along with any contract that applies to your firm. CabRank facilitates referral notification, matching, claiming, intake administration and handoff only. It does not provide legal practice management, matter management, case management, conveyancing management, billing, trust accounting, time recording or file management functionality.

Particular items worth noting when claiming a paid CabRank Central booking:

• you should be available to conduct a consultation of up to one hour;
• you should be able to meet any court dates or deadlines disclosed in the intake summary;
• you remain solely responsible for conflict checks, retainers, costs disclosure, file conduct, trust accounting and all professional obligations; and
• if you are unable to act after claiming, you must release the referral promptly so it can be reallocated.
